Our Story

Beauty Talk Foundation was born from a bigger vision one that began not in a boardroom, but around a brunch table in January.

Three women Nakia, Kelli, and Sonya each deeply rooted in the beauty industry as stylists, educators, and mentors, came together with a shared frustration and a powerful dream. They recognized the challenges newly licensed beauty professionals often face after graduation: limited hands-on experience, lack of mentorship, and difficulty accessing real opportunities to grow and succeed.

From that conversation, Beauty Talk Salon & Spa was created as more than just a business it became a bridge between education and empowerment. The salon provides a supportive environment where newly licensed professionals can build confidence, develop their skills, earn income, and grow alongside seasoned industry professionals.

What began as a simple conversation has grown into a purpose-driven community centered on mentorship, opportunity, and long-term impact laying the foundation for meaningful change within the beauty industry.
